Julie Lein
Julie is a co-founder and Managing Partner of the Urban Innovation Fund, a venture capital firm that invests in startups transforming massive, regulated industries. The firm provides seed capital, hands-on support, and regulatory insights to startups in areas like energy, transportation, and fintech. It has invested in over 70 seed-stage startups since 2016 and manages $300M in assets.
Previously, she co-founded Tumml, a startup hub for urban tech. Julie's work supporting the urban entrepreneurship ecosystem has been featured in numerous press outlets, such as CNN and The San Francisco Chronicle. She began her career working in political polling and consulting. Julie earned her MBA from MIT Sloan and BA from Stanford.
