2021 was an eventful year at the Urban Innovation Fund! Here are some highlights:
Ford acquires Electriphi: We led the Seed in Electriphi, which builds software to power electric vehicle fleets. A year and a half later, the company was acquired by Ford to serve as the backbone of the company's commercial EV fleet strategy. We're so happy for the Electriphi team on this tremendous outcome.
Jeeves achieves $500M valuation in one year: The global payment network for small and medium-sized businesses raised its Series B from CRV & A16Z and was included on The Information's Top 50 Startups of 2021.
We grew the portfolio to 40 startups across two funds: We invested in a dozen new companies this past year, including privacy compliance software provider Dataships, private investing engine Allocate, digital adoption agency PairTree, and micromobility toolkit Joyride.
